HOPE, meet Murphy.

HOPE, meet Murphy.
Murphy is an 11 yr old Black Lab service dog that belongs to disabled veteran named Don. When Don had to go to the hospital he called many different organizations looking for help. When he called us, he struck HOPE. Southern Hope went to his apartment to take care of Murphy for several days. When it was discovered Don had an aneurysm and required surgery, his first worry was Murphy. Southern Hope quickly arranged for Murphy to go to a foster home and Don's mind was put at ease that his dog was safe.
After entering the foster home, it was discovered Murphy had some health issues of her own. She had a benign tumor requiring surgery, a skin infection, a much needed dental cleaning, and was behind on all of her shots. Southern Hope took her in for the surgery and dental procedure, got her up to date on shots, and started her on medicines to clear the skin infection. What a difference it made! While Murphy is missing her owner, she was on her way to a healthy recovery. Don had his surgery and is recovering also. The disabled vet and the dog that helps him, will be reunited as soon as they are both well. What a happy day it will be for both of them and Southern Hope too!
Murphy's medical bills have cost SHHS a total of $1200. Please help us pay for her expenses by donating $10, $15, $25, or $50. Your donation turns the final page in this heartwarming story with a happy ending.
